With the in-depth advancement of the "dual carbon" goals, the environmental protection technology of cosmetic plastic vacuum bottles has achieved a qualitative leap.
Recently, Zhongshan Meijieshi built the world's first production line for bio-based PP vacuum bottles with an annual output of 500 million units. The bottle body made of corn starch-based materials has a degradation rate of 92% in the natural environment, and its sealing performance is 12% higher than that of traditional PP materials.
The industry's environmental transformation has achieved remarkable results. Data shows that in the first half of 2025, the utilization rate of degradable materials in the cosmetic vacuum bottle industry has reached 51.3%, an increase of 14.6 percentage points compared with the same period last year. The bio-based PCR composite vacuum bottle launched by L'Oreal Group reduces carbon emissions per bottle by 68%, with orders exceeding 80 million units within the year. Domestic enterprises are accelerating technological breakthroughs. The PHA/PBAT composite vacuum bottle developed by Guangzhou Tongchan Lixing has passed the EU compostable certification and has entered the supply chain of Lancôme and Estée Lauder, promoting the penetration rate of environmentally friendly packaging in the high-end market to over 40%.
